Getting Ready: A Family Affair (and full of heart)

We started the day in the rooms. Michael got ready in a suite with his two sons, his brother, and his father. It wasn’t just “the groom getting dressed” — it felt like a family moment, laughter, nerves, and brotherhood all mixed together.

At the same time, Nicole got ready in the bridal suite with her best friend. Later, her mom joined for a quiet, emotional moment. Those soft, intimate mother‑daughter exchanges are gold in wedding photography — the kind of photo you’ll treasure forever.

The First Look: Garden Magic with Tears

We stepped out into the garden at the Ritz-Carlton (the stairs there are GORGEOUS). Nicole was perched above on the stairs; Michael waited below. Then I counted “one, two, three…” and he turned. Cue waterworks. He cried. Not just a little mist, full emotion. And yes, everyone watching teared up too.

Their ceremony was held at the Eternity Bridge — one of the most iconic spots at the Ritz for saying your “I do’s.” Ocean in front, palms swaying, tropical breeze. We had full video, drone coverage, and every moment in between.

Right after, we flew up in the drone for a sweeping shot of all the guests on the beach — you can’t beat that “everyone in one frame” magic on a beach wedding day.

Cocktail Hour + Sunset Portraits: Laid‑Back Vibes, Golden Light

Cocktail hour on the sand. Guests relaxed, sipped drinks, and soaked in the views. As the sky shifted, we snuck away to the beach for sunset photos. Soft pinks, warm golds, romantic waves — I love using that time to let the couple wander, laugh, get lost in each other.
These are the “forever” frames you’ll look back on and instantly feel transported.

Reception in the Ballroom: The Dance, The Band, The Blackout That Wasn’t

Switching inside to the ballroom, the reception was electric. Grand entrance, first dance (including with the two kids), a live band (these always elevate the energy), cake cutting — and then … Aruba experienced a complete blackout.

But here’s the twist: You’d never guess it from the photos. People danced the night away. In fact, the blackout ended up being a story we still talk about — but thankfully it didn’t ruin the night.
